The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA) was signed into law by President Joe Biden on August 16, 2022. It is a landmark United States federal law which aims to “curb inflation by possibly reducing the federal government budget deficit, lowering prescription drug prices, and investing into domestic energy production while promoting clean energy”.
About the Guest Speaker: Jiyoon Choi
Jiyoon Choi is the ESG Tax Lead at Aprio, assisting clients in aligning their ESG goals with their tax strategies. Prior to joining Aprio, she was a manager at a Big 4 firm where she gained extensive experience in federal, state, and international tax compliance and planning. Jiyoon holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University – Bloomington.
